A FEW COMMON Q & As
Q - What times is the clubhouse available to hire?
A - Monday to Friday: During Term time the hall is in use daily by a nursery school and evenings we have regular hirers each evening with the exception of Fridays when it is usually available.
Weekends: Saturday mornings are currently booked. Saturday evenings are generally available, bearing in mind that football will be on in the winter and cricket in the summer, however club members will use the members lounge leaving the hall and bar free for use. Sunday availability is on request.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not currently accept non-member bookings for 18th or 21st birthdays etc.
Q - What is the cost of hire?
A - £40 - £50 per hour depending on requirements. Hirers must clear up afterwards leaving the hall as they found it.
Q - Is there a bar available?
A - Yes we have a fully stocked bar, hirers pay £50 per member of bar staff. PLEASE NOTE: hirers may not bring their own alcohol on to the premises.
Q - Can we have an extension to regular bar hours?
A - Yes with enough notice, we can apply for an extension to midnight.
Q - What are the dimensions of the hall and how many people can be accommodated?
A - Dimensions: 14metres x 8 metres
Seated - Approx 80
Standing - Approx 150
Banqueting tables and chairs for up to 80 people are available for hire.
Q - Is there soft lighting?
A: Yes, also a sound system (music and microphones) and a large retractable screen that can show videos or presentations.
Q - Can we put up posters/ banners etc?
A - Yes, as long as they do not damage the walls.
Q - Can we have use of the kitchen?
A - Yes we have a commercial kitchen which can also be used by external caterers if you wish. It must be left in a clean and tidy condition. We do have external caterers that we can recommend if required.
Q - Is there a damage deposit?
A - Yes, £500 which is refundable. The hirer is responsible for the behaviour of attendees. No drugs on the premises, anyone seen will be reported to police.
